AI Makes Art. But YOU Humanize It

AI can generate perfect lighting. Perfect faces. Perfect symmetry.

But perfect isn’t always human. It doesn’t invoke emotions like art drawn or created by a “real” artist.

But… you CAN evoke emotions when you prompt it right.

Let’s learn how to inject emotions and soul into your AI ART - together... 👇🏽

➤ 1. EMBED IMPERFECTION

Flaws = soul = humanized.

Add tiny irregularities like:

• Asymmetry

• Blur or grain

• Uneven strokes or subtle texture warps

⤷ Nothing human is ever perfect. Don’t let your images be either.

➤ 2. USE YOUR MEMORIES

AI creates images. You create the meaning behind it.

Try this:

• Base your prompt on a real experience or a dream

• Add symbols from your life (coffee cups, ocean drives, cat, sports, etc.)

• Visualize a feeling, not just a scene

⤷ When people see your image, they should feel like they’ve been there before. Relatabily makes it feel real.

➤ 3. MIX IN SOMETHING REAL

Go hybrid.

Layer human-made textures over your digital art:

• Scan hand-drawn doodles or brush strokes

• Snap a photo of a real sky, wall, or fabric

• Add your handwriting or symbols

⤷ AI does the render. You bring the emotional depth.

➤ 4. SPEAK THROUGH SYMBOLISM

Use metaphors that punch people in the chest:

• A mirror between two timelines

• A cracked glass heart

• A girl made of smoke holding onto the past

These don’t just look cool. They mean something.

⤷ Symbolism is how you sneak emotion past the brain and straight into the heart.

I try to bring emotions, depth and an experience within my AI art. Make my creation speak a 1000 words. What do you feel when you watch this?

➤ 5. CONTROL THE MOOD WITH COLOR

Color isn’t just pretty. It’s powerful tool you can use to make the viewer feel the mood you want.

• Warm = nostalgia, comfort, safety

• Cool = distance, mystery, tension

• Vibrant colors = happy

• Blues = melancholy

Combine them for emotional contrast

⤷ Design your palette like you’re taking them through a journey.

➤ 6. LEAVE SPACE FOR INTERPRETATION

Let people finish the image in their own mind:

• Use negative space

• Obscure the subject’s face

• Add subtle clues that hint at something deeper

⤷ Mystery is magnetic. You don’t need to explain everything.
