Confession: I Overthink Every Post

I don’t just write and hit publish.

I reread.
Rewrite.
Doubt it.
Scrape it.
Write it again.

Then finally let it go.

Not because I’m scared of how it looks;
but because I care about how it makes my readers feel.

✦ I don’t chase aesthetics. I want connection.

✦ I don’t want you to scroll past. I need you to pause.

✦ I don’t ponder on if it’s pretty. I care if it’s gonna punch you in the gut.

✦ I need to make sure you’re gonna:

• read it

• think about it

• take action on the things i said

And the funny part?

My best ideas don’t come when i’m sitting at my desk or brainstorming content.

They show up:

→ When I’m in the shower

→ On a carefree long drive

→ Trynna enjoy my coffee

→ In the quiet moments when i’m not trying.

The random emotions and thought provoking questions that hit you at 2am in the morning are the ones that go viral.

Because they connect with people the most.

Stop worrying about polishing & perfecting your content.

Start focusing on what will make people connect with you.

Think about broader topics (because it’s easier to capture more people).

Ask yourself before you post:

→ Can people relate?

→ Do I really stand for this?

→ Does it say what I really feel?

→ Would I send this to a friend, not just an audience?

→ Do I want people to know me for this?

Connecting with your audience (old or new) > aesthetics. Every single time.
