Why are you “brainstorming content” when your life is already creating posts for you?

Most people spend hours brainstorming content not realizing content is always all around use.

The best and most viral posts don’t sound like content at all.

They sound like moments.

Raw. Slightly messy. Real.

And you have them daily.

You’re just not catching them.

Lemme show you how to extract content from your day-to-day lives 👇🏽

Quick Detour for my sponsors today: MINTIFY

Check out what they are offering for my readers:

AI Agents Are Reading Your Docs. Are You Ready?

Last month, 48% of visitors to documentation sites across Mintlify were AI agents—not humans.

Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents are becoming the actual customers reading your docs. And they read everything.

This changes what good documentation means. Humans skim and forgive gaps. Agents methodically check every endpoint, read every guide, and compare you against alternatives with zero fatigue.

Your docs aren't just helping users anymore—they're your product's first interview with the machines deciding whether to recommend you.

That means:
→ Clear schema markup so agents can parse your content
→ Real benchmarks, not marketing fluff
→ Open endpoints agents can actually test
→ Honest comparisons that emphasize strengths without hype

In the agentic world, documentation becomes 10x more important. Companies that make their products machine-understandable will win distribution through AI.

🚨 OKAY BACK TO TOPIC 🚨

The problem isn’t ideas.

It’s your thought process.

Most people only notice “post-worthy” stuff when it’s big:

  • → a win

  • → a trip

  • → a glow-up

  • → a hot take

Meanwhile… your actual life is handing you posts like free samples at Costco.

You just keep walking past the them.

Turn “Moment → Post”

Use this:

MOMENT (what happened)

  • MICRO-DETAIL (what made it feel real)

  • MEANING (what it made you realize)

  • QUESTION (pull people in)

Very simple.

Step 1: Start collecting “pauses”

A “pause” is anything that makes you stop for half a second:

  • → you laughed

  • → you got annoyed

  • → you overthought

  • → you felt proud

  • → you felt weirdly sad for no reason

  • → a convo stuck in your head

☑ If it made you feel something, it’s usable.

Fast trick:

Keep a note called PAUSES and drop one-liners all day. No paragraphs. Just the breadcrumbs. You can turn it into content later.

BTW…

Will Your Retirement Income Last?

A successful retirement can depend on having a clear plan. Fisher Investments’ The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income can help you calculate your future costs and structure your portfolio to meet your needs. Get the insights you need to help build a durable income strategy for the long term.

Step 2: Write down small things (before they vanish)

You need to capture your thoughts as soon as they appear because thoughts fly away fast.

❥ What to write down:

  • → that random thought while waiting for your coffee

  • → a song lyric that punched you in the chest

  • → something you saw on a drive that made you think twice

  • → a sentence someone said that you can’t stop replaying

Rule: Write it down as soon as it stands out to you.

Step 3: Aim for feeling, not formatting

Most people waste time “structuring” the thought until it loses its pulse.

☑ Sometimes your best post is literally:

  • → 5 lines

  • → one observation

  • → one question

  • → a completely random thought

Step 4: Don’t edit the life out of it

Perfection kills relatability.

Leave it slightly human:

  • → short sentences

  • → awkward honesty

  • → keep the micro-details that make it real

Because people don’t connect with “perfect”

They connect with what it felt like.
