USE 40 / 40 / 20 REPLY SPLIT
Spending 100% of your time replying to “big” accounts hoping for views is useless.
Instead, split it like this:
➊ 40% → Mid-size creators (5k–50k)
These are the sweet spot.
→ Big enough to get impressions
→ Small enough to reply back
→ Great for collabs, Spaces, DMs (networking in general)
↳ These are the quality creators you can learn from and build connections with. Their communities can also be your playground. You’ll find lots of mutuals in their audience as well.
➋ 40% → Peers & active accounts (your size ± a little)
Your future 'superfans'.
→ These are the ones who’ll show up on your posts, not just like them.
→ They’ll comment back, share your stuff, show up in DMs.
→ You both grow together.
↳ They're the ones you become friends with. This will be your circle, your community.
➌ 20% → Verified / Large accounts (100k+)
Use these strategically. Turn on notifications.
→ Jump in early when they post
→ Be relevant, witty, attention-grabbing with your replies
→ If they reply or like yours, you get a massive visibility spike
↳ Use your best replies on the people who comment on these posts too. Network 📈

🚨 HERE'S AN UNDERRATED WAY TO FIND GREAT ACCOUNTS
1️⃣. Locate the "giants"
Find accounts with 500K–1M+ followers in your niche or (in general) These creators pull in hundreds of comments every time they post. That’s your visibility playground.
2️⃣. Surf their comment sections
Scroll through the replies on their posts. Reply to the commenters who stand out to you, resonate with you.
→ Look for people dropping thoughtful takes or humor that resonates with you.
→ Engage with them directly (whether in that comment or on their posts).
Treat it like mini networking in public. Every time you reply meaningfully to someone in those posts, you’re signaling to the algo:
“Hey, we’re part of the same ‘niche’.. Show my posts to them too.”
3️⃣. Build two-way visibility
Click through to the profiles of people you vibe with. Comment on their posts, too. That's how you connect the dots:
The algo sees you engaging across shared posts.
It learns that your audiences overlap.
It starts showing your posts to their followers too (not just them).
That’s how you quietly plant yourself inside bigger ecosystems without begging for attention.
NETWORK IN DMs
Once in a while… go deeper. Pick one reply a day that’s high-effort:
→ Personal story
→ Emotional angle
→ Insightful perspective
→ Follow-up Q to start a convo
If it takes off, send them a DM. “extend your hand of friendship”
Say:
“Hey I really liked your take on ___. Just followed. Looking forward to seeing more of your content.” (don't be a creep tho.. only do that if you've already built a relationship)
That one DM can do more than 100 likes ever will. Like this one DM changed the entire trajectory of my career:
