🧠 Time Blocking for People Whose Brains Open 17 Tabs at all Times

I’ve always been trash at managing time because my brain goes:
→ why do one thing when you can do 5 things at once?

And yeah… sometimes that works.

But here’s what I learned the annoying way:

✦ Doing “everything” feels productive.
✦ Doing 1–2 things on purpose actually is productive.

So I started time blocking.

I’ve been more productive in the past 2 weeks than I have ever been.

Here’s how you can try it too ⬇️

Quick Detour for my sponsors today: DEEL

🚨 OKAY BACK TO TOPIC 🚨

The Problem Isn’t Time

It’s switching back and forth.

Every time you bounce tasks, your brain pays a little tax:

  • ↳ you lose momentum

  • ↳ you restart your thoughts

  • ↳ you pretend you’re “busy” while your output stays mid

Time blocking fixes that by making your brain stop negotiating.

THE 30-MINUTE TIME BLOCK

Here’s the framework I use.

Step 1: Pick 1–2 tasks per block

Not 7. Not “and also reorganize my whole life.”

Example:

→ 2:00–2:30 = X + content

→ 2:30–3:00 = newsletter

→ 3:00–3:30 = client work

Step 2: Put a hard stop

When the block ends, you stop. Even if you’re “almost done.”

Why?

Because “almost done” is how you lose your whole day.

Step 3: If it doesn’t fit, it gets circled

If it can’t be finished in that block:

↳ park it

↳ move to the next block

↳ come back later

This keeps you moving instead of sinking into one task for 3 hours like quicksand.

The “Grounding Element” Trick

I keep one grounding element running in the background:

  • ✦ music

  • ✦ a Space

  • ✦ a video / ambient sound

It subconsciously reminds my brain:

→ time is passing
→ we are not immortal
→ wrap it up

PS. Music is the best and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying making them too. Check em out if you feel like it 😊

Steal This Template

Try this for one day:

3 blocks only (don’t go full robot)

  • → Block 1: something that makes money

  • → Block 2: something that builds your brand

  • → Block 3: something you’ve been avoiding

☑ Set a timer
☑ Stop when it ends
☑ Circle back later if needed
☑ Keep your grounding element on

That’s it. That’s the whole “secret.”

See you on the next one
