→ It’s the only audience you actually control
→ It’s the only platform where the algorithm doesn’t decide who sees you
Social media is rented land.
Email is ownership.

You don’t need new ideas.
You need more room for the ideas you already have.
Your newsletter works best when it:
↳ expands on what you already share
↳ adds context you don’t have space for elsewhere
↳ gives your thoughts somewhere to land

One of the biggest misconceptions:
More emails ≠ better newsletter.
A healthy newsletter isn’t loud.
It’s highly engaged.
Things that help long-term:
→ sending when your audience is actually opening email
(check your active times)→ paying attention to subject lines
(they’re the hooks that get people to open those emails)→ cleaning inactive subscribers without guilt
(you don’t have to delete them, you can just segment them out so you don’t send to people who aren’t opening your emails)
High engagement happens when people feel respected, not pushed.

You don’t have to monetize right away.
You don’t have to monetize at all.
But newsletters give you options:

↳ referrals
↳ direct offers
