Steps to Rewrite AI Content So It Doesn’t Sound Dead Inside

You let AI help you write it. Now let's humanize it.

In partnership with

🤖 You Let AI Write Content. Now Let’s Humanize It.

Let’s be honest:

Most AI content reads like this:

“Consistency is important. Don’t give up. Keep going.”

I mean…. This isn’t 2014 Pinterest days 💀

If you’re letting AI write your drafts and hitting publish as-is…

You’re not using AI.
You’re being used by it.

This newsletter will teach you how to rewrite AI-generated content so it sounds like you and actually connects with your audience.

Let’s learn how to humanize your AI draft before it ruins your reputation 👇

STEP 1: Kill the Corporate Clichés

AI loves to sound polite, vague and overexplain things.

“Harness your potential.”
“The future of innovation lies in adaptability.”
“Clarity is crucial to growth.”

No one talks like that.

🔁 Rewrite with edge:

→ “We don’t come to 𝕏 for 𝕏, we come here for the people.”
→ “Are you strong enough to admit when you're wrong?”
→ “Be the reason someone believes humanity still exists

Ask yourself:
Would I actually say this out loud?

If not… get rid of it or rephrase it in your own words.

STEP 2: Rewrite with Emotional Punch

AI = logical
People = emotional

So if your draft reads like a textbook, try this:

❥ Prompt yourself:

“What’s the emotionally honest version of this sentence?”

Then write that.

Example:
→ AI says: “It’s important to stay positive during hard times.”
→ You say: “Some days you’ll want to quit. Cry if you have to. Then keep going.”

Your audience will feel the difference in Empathy.

STEP 3: Inject YOUR VOICE

Your voice is what makes people stay, read and engage.

So if AI gives you this:
“In today’s fast-paced digital landscape…”

🤮 Delete that whole paragraph.

Replace it with:
→ A story
→ A quirky remark
→ A line you’ve actually said to a friend

Example:

“Time is our most valuable resource.”

“I don’t care how busy you are… there’s always time for what matters. Even if it’s 11:27PM and you’re eating cereal in the dark.”

Make it sound like YOU. Add a life experience people can relate to.

STEP 4: Make the CTA Unignorable

AI ends with:
“Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!”

Yawn.

No one’s gonna care of be willing to reply. It’s too broad. No one wants to sit there and think about “what to say”.

Be specific.

Give people a specific question to answer.

Try this instead:

“Reply with your before/after… I’ll tell you which one sounds more human.”
❥ After a motivational post: “What's one thing you're still figuring out?”
❥ At the end of an X algo post: “What are you noticing on your timeline?”

Your CTA should stir something in the reader.

Otherwise there are a million other posts people could be spending their time on!

Challenge. Invite. Dare. Hook.

📃 The Rewrite Formula

Use this 4-part rewrite checklist:

Cut the corporate, stoic sh*t out
Say the emotionally honest version
Make it sound like you, not an infomercial
End with something bold, that stops someone from scrolling and reply to you

AI is your starting point.
