It’s Time to Bring Pinterest Back!
Except, using screenshots.
Screenshot content that inspires you → Turn them into posts
Sometimes, you don’t need more ideas. You need a system that turns what you already collect into publish-ready content.
Because if your notes app looks like this:
→ screenshots
→ quotes
→ threads
→ charts
→ wild takes
→ “I’ll post this later”
Congrats. You have content.
You just don’t have a production factory yet.
Let’s build you one.

Quick Detour for my sponsors today: HAYSTACK
Check out what they are offering for my readers:

With customizable templates, clear layouts, and multimedia capabilities, teams can create and share content that is easy to read, navigate, and reference. Haystack turns your intranet into an interactive, engaging resource hub that supports collaboration and knowledge retention.
Upgrading your intranet boosts efficiency across departments, reduces duplicated work, and ensures consistent, accurate information is accessible to everyone. Employees stay informed, aligned, and empowered, while leadership gains visibility into engagement and usage.
Haystack transforms your intranet from a static repository into a dynamic platform that drives productivity, connection, and culture.
🚨 OKAY BACK TO TOPIC 🚨
WHAT TO SCREENSHOT
Don’t screenshot everything.
SS the posts that fall into one of these 5 buckets:
✦ Proof (stats, charts, receipts, before/after)
✦ Punchlines (hot takes, contrarian lines, sharp opinions)
✦ Process (workflows, templates, step-by-steps)
✦ People (relatable behaviors, social dynamics, psychology moments)
✦ Patterns (something you’ve seen 3+ times)
☑ Rule: if you can’t explain why you saved it in one sentence, delete it.
SCREENSHOT → POST
Step 1:
Name the screenshot in plain English
→ What is this really about?
Examples:
▪ “Creator insecurity disguised as ‘research’”
▪ “Why simple posts outperform masterpieces”
▪ “People confuse visibility with value”
Step 2:
Extract the ONE line you’d quote
Pick the line that makes someone stop scrolling (maybe the one that made you stop?). And if the screenshot doesn’t have a punchy line, YOU write it.
Example starters:
→ The mistake isn’t _____. It’s _____.
→ This is why ____ feels hard: _____.
→ Nobody tells you this, but _____.
Step 3:
Pick ONE post format (don’t freestyle)
Use the format that matches the screenshot type:
Proof screenshot → Teardown post
Punchline screenshot → Hot take
Process screenshot → Checklist / tutorial
People screenshot → Behavior breakdown
Pattern screenshot → Rule / principle post
☑ If you pick the wrong format, the post feels “meh” even if the idea is good.
Step 4:
Add your “Auny” (personal) layer / POV
This is what makes it yours.
Pick ONE:
↳ a personal micro-story (2–3 lines)
↳ your opinion (what you agree/disagree with)
↳ the consequence (what happens if you ignore this)
↳ the fix (what to do instead)
No essays. Just a sharp angle.
Step 5:
End with a clean engagement trigger
Not “thoughts?” like a lost puppy.
Use things like these:
→ What part of this are you currently stuck in?
→ Be honest: which one do you do?
→ If you had to fix ONE thing today, what would it be?
→ What’s your screenshot folder full of right now?
CTA questions should be relatable. Something that gets people thinking and dying to share their opinion. Avoid questions that lead to a yes or no answer.

ORGANIZE Your Screenshots
If you don’t tag them, or put them in albums, you’ll end up feeling like “dang this is too much, where do I start?” and end up never posting!
Separate them like this maybe:

SOME TEMPLATES FOR YOU

→ Unpopular opinion: _____.
↳ If you want ____ , stop doing _____.
→ When was the last time you tried something like this?Template C: Tutorial (Process)
