Write how you speak.
Skip the jargon. Use your natural rhythm.
Imagine explaining it to a friend — not writing a blog post.
Address a person.
Don’t say “you all” or “you” instead of writing like it’s an informercial
People read solo, not in crowds.
Read it out loud.
If it sounds stiff, it’ll read stiff.
Loosen it. Trim the fluff. Add your tone. As if you were talking to a friend face-to-face.
Let your quirks show.
Inside jokes, funny slang, or emojis you’d actually use while texting; they build warmth and relatability.
