The part that happens before the words exist.

Today’s message started with an image.

A strange one.

Three figures. Three shadows. None of the shadows matched.

And that’s when my mind whispered:

“People hide so much, even their shadows don’t line up.”

Everyone carries a version of themselves they don’t show.

Everyone tweaks a story before they tell it.

Everyone projects a mask so convincing that people mistake it for their identity.

That’s the part I couldn’t ignore.

They point fingers because it’s safer than turning the finger inward.

And they build opinions from scraps - assumptions, tone, timing, hearsay - as if the “half story” they heard is the whole picture.

But you should know better

No one gets the full story.

Not even the person living it.

That’s why the shadows in the image don’t match the figures.

It’s the mask that never matches the wounds.

Their projection never match the truth.

People pour parts of themselves into others, trying to reshape someone into the version they need; not the version that’s real.

Stop proving yourself to people who aren’t even honest with themselves.

They’re reacting to their own projections, not your truth.

➤ Don’t internalize judgments from people who haven’t lived your life or been through what you’ve been through.

➤ Pay attention to ‘mismatched shadows’. When someone’s behavior doesn’t match their words, believe your gut over their words.
