If You Want a Brand People Trust Instantly… Build It Like This ↓

Branding isn’t about logos.

It’s about memory, emotion and consistency.

And right now, most people are blending in so hard it’s painful.

Let’s make you stand out in 5 simple steps:

1. DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS SOMETHING SPECIFIC

Vague = invisible.

Bland = forgettable.

❥ Don’t just say “I help people grow online.”

Say: “I help creators 10x their content output using AI.”

Say: “I teach freelancers how to build a $5K/month business.”

✦ Ask yourself:

→ Could 10 other people say this?

→ If the answer is yes, it’s not specific enough.

Talked about this concept in greater detail here. Check it out:

Quick Detour for my sponsors today: Roku Ads

Find your customers on Roku this Black Friday

As with any digital ad campaign, the important thing is to reach streaming audiences who will convert. To that end, Roku’s self-service Ads Manager stands ready with powerful segmentation and targeting options. After all, you know your customers, and we know our streaming audience.

Worried it’s too late to spin up new Black Friday creative? With Roku Ads Manager, you can easily import and augment existing creative assets from your social channels. We also have AI-assisted upscaling, so every ad is primed for CTV.

Once you’ve done this, then you can easily set up A/B tests to flight different creative variants and Black Friday offers. If you’re a Shopify brand, you can even run shoppable ads directly on-screen so viewers can purchase with just a click of their Roku remote.

2. MAKE YOUR VISUALS MATCH YOUR VIBE

Your font, colors and images shouldn’t feel like an afterthought.

You don’t need to be a designer.. but you do need visual coherence.

This builds familiarity → familiarity builds trust.

Example:

❥ If you’re warm and friendly, use soft palettes and handwritten fonts.

❥ If you’re edgy and bold, use contrast, sharp typography, gritty edits.

✦ Take note of these:

→ Do my posts look like me?

→ Could someone recognize my content without my name on it?

3. USE “I” > “We”

Unless you’re Nike or McDonalds… “we” feels corporate and detached.

People trust people.

Not vague collectives nobody can specifically relate to.

❥ Talk like a person.

Say: “I believe this.” “Here’s what I did.” “I learned this the hard way.”

Your audience is following you, not your imaginary startup team of 12. + Relatability is HUGE on social media. Content goes viral when people can relate with the post at hand.

4. DON’T PIVOT EVERY 2 WEEKS

If your content sounds completely different every time you post,

you’re not building a brand, you’re playing dress-up and riding trends.

You don’t need to pick one topic forever.
You also don’t have to talk about one topic everyday.

But you do need consistency in voice, values, opinions and patterns.

❥ Your audience should know what to expect.

And if you’re still experimenting?

→ That’s fine.

→ Just don’t fake consistency. Own the evolution.

5. LET YOUR VALUES SHOW UP IN YOUR REPLIES

What you say matters as much as what you post.

Your DMs; comments; replies; the content you interact with = part of your brand.

❥ If you say you believe in kindness, show it in how you respond.

❥ If you say you’re a straight shooter, don’t sugarcoat your replies.

✦ Remember:

→ Trust is built in the small moments

→ Consistency isn’t just visual—it’s behavioral

Brand That Makes an Impact ⤵

→ Say something no one else is saying

→ Look and talk like your vibe

→ Be a person, not a PR firm or an infomercial

→ Stay the course, at least for 3 months per topic

→ Let your values show up everywhere
