THE 5 MISTAKES THAT DESTROY YOUR ENGAGEMENT
1) Your hook doesn’t stop them from scrolling
Your first line has one job: earn attention on line two.
Fix it with this Hook Recipe:
→ Tension: “You’re doing X… and it’s why nobody replies.”
→ Contradiction: “Posting more is not how you grow.”
→ Personal + sharp: “I used to do this. It murdered my reach.”
→ Polarizing question: “Do you want likes… or do you want clients?”

2) You’re writing at people, not to them
If your post reads like a diary entry, people will treat it like one: they’ll watch in silence.
Fix it with the “You” element:
→ Take your sentence and rewrite it so it points outward.
Example:
❌ “Today I learned about growth on X.”
✅ “Are you making this growth mistake on X too?”
↳ If they can’t reply easily, they won’t.
3) You post, log off, and pray
Posting then disappearing is like throwing a party and turning off the lights.
Fix it with the Warm-Up + Cooldown rule:
→ 10 minutes before you post: reply to 5–10 relevant people
→ 10 minutes after you post: reply to every comment fast
→ PLUS: drop 3–5 thoughtful replies on bigger accounts after you post
The algo notices who shows up. People do too.

4) You’re not in the right rooms
If you only talk to your followers… you only grow at the speed of your followers.
Fix it with Community Piggybacking (without being cringe):
→ Join 1–2 Communities in your niche
→ Comment daily (short + specific, no essay)
→ Post something native to that community’s vibe
↳ Attention already lives in rooms. Utilize it.
5) You’re sleeping on Spaces
Text builds visibility. Voice builds automatic connection.
Fix it with the One Sharp Thing rule:
Join a Space that matches your niche
Request mic
Say one useful, memorable point
Follow 2–3 speakers you genuinely liked
Tag them and comment in the purple pill and say: “Loved your point about ___.”
That’s how you become familiar fast.
