→ inspire
→ entertain
→ or spark conversations.

If someone reads your post and doesn’t feel the need to reply; is there a point?

Make sure to create high quality engaging content.

Pro tip:
Posts that start with a question or around the top have a higher chance of getting replies (comments) because people are inclined to answer the question.

2 • ANALYZE WHAT WORKS

Check your analytics to understand what resonates with your audience.

• Are your threads outperforming your one-liners?
• Are personal stories hitting harder than your educational posts?

Bookmark your top 5 posts and reverse engineer them.

Ask:
➝ why did these perform better or worse?
➝ what was it about the formatting that worked well?
➝ what kind of tone or wording did you use?
➝ what are the people saying in the comments?

3 • DOUBLE DOWN

Do more of what’s working and less of what’s not.

If a particular style or topic is getting you traction, lean into it (as long as you enjoy it too)

If people love your hot takes AND you enjoy writing them, that’s a signal. Give the people what they want

Utilize well performing posts to bring new eyes to your profile.

Pro Tip:
Interesting content garners ‘profile clicks’, so keep your profile primed. Make sure those people that click on your profile, turn into FOLLOWERS.

Burnout happens when everything becomes about chasing the numbers. Don’t tie your self-worth to the views your posts get.

Experiment with different topics

Experiment with different forms of content:

  • short

  • long

  • one-liners

  • thought provoking questions

  • images

  • videos

  • livestreams

  • spaces

....because if you’re tired of it, chances are your audience is too.

5 • WRITE FOR THEM

Your audience wants to see themselves in your content. Don’t make it about you all the time.

Speak to their fears;
address their struggles, goals and thoughts.

Find common ground.

Instead of “I learned to set boundaries,” say “Have you ever felt guilty for setting boundaries? You’re not alone.”

Remember: They should be the star of your post. It’s what makes them care about what you’re writing.

➝ Try the YOU-ME-YOU method:

Start with “YOU” - they need to know why your post should matter to them

Slide in the “I” - explain why you’re saying it or what makes you credible

Reinforce “I” - add your own experience to back up your claim

End with “YOU” - turn the post back to your audience (could be a question or opinion share) so your reader wants to reply with their own experience
